Urban Farming on top of the HLK School

What We Do

Climate strike

We organize events, attend climate strikes and collaborate with local organizations and movements.

We run 7+ different projects for students to get involved and act on climate change.

We are working with JSU, and others to make Jönköping University more sustainable.

OUR PROJECTS

The Creative Team/Social Media Team works to create content for all of our social media platforms and more. If you like graphic design, photography, videography or journalism this is your team!
We have an urban farming located on the rooftop of the HLK building with a variety of vegetables, herbs and flowers. We also newly established an aquaponics system. If you are interested in learning about sustainable agriculture and if you want to get your hands a bit dirty join them!
The green food project is quite new and works to implement more plant-based food options on campus. What the team does to reach that goal is totally up to its members. So if you feel passionate to lobby for climate-friendly food options join them!
The Event Team helps to organize all of our great SSA events throughout the semester such as clean-ups, climate strikes, the SSA camp, fundraisers and more. If you like to plan and organize and see ideas come to life, join them!
The solidarity team started out as a FB group to help the elderly in JKPG during the beginning of COVID. Since then it has become a platform for students to volunteer and give back to the community. Students can volunteer at for example the homeless shelter, NGOs and small sustainable enterprises.
The Swap Team organizes the famous SSA clothes swap once a semester where students can donate their pre-loved clothes and take clothes for free. Additionally, the swap team takes care of the swap room and shelf.
SPECTRA is working for LGBTQIA+ rights, human rights and anti-discrimination at campus. It is the goal to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable at JU. The team organizes the students’ participation in the JKPG Pride and works on different projects such as free menstrual products on campus.
